Two communities have honoured Mrs. Favour Nwelue, respected community leader and politician in Ehime Mbano, Imo State, popularly known as Ada Okigwe, with distinguished awards in recognition of her contributions to community development, philanthropy and humanitarian service.
The first award was presented by the women of Ezeoke Nsu, who honoured Mrs. Nwelue with a golden trophy in recognition of her good leadership, philanthropic activities and commitment to community service. The award, presented during the recently held annual August Meeting of the women, reflects their appreciation of her efforts toward improving the welfare of members of the community and her demonstrated concern for the needs of the people.

The second honour came from the women of Umunumo, also in Ehime Mbano. They presented Mrs. Nwelue with an award recognising her charitable acts and consistent support for the less-privileged, particularly women.
The two recognitions underscore the growing appreciation of Mrs. Nwelue’s service to humanity and her willingness to use her influence and resources to support vulnerable members of society.
The presentations also provided an opportunity for the women to publicly celebrate a leader they regard as compassionate, accessible, and committed to community welfare.
For Mrs. Nwelue, a staunch grassroots politician and chieftain of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, the honours represent not only recognition but also a call to continue the work of touching lives, empowering communities and supporting those who need assistance.
The awards from Ezeoke Nsu and Umunumo, therefore, stand as a testament to the impact of her leadership, philanthropy and community engagement in Ehime Mbano.
