No fewer than 25 people were feared dead on Tuesday in multiple accidents in Oyo State.
The tragic incident, which happened along the Ojo-Iwo Road section of the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway, near the Agbowo/Ajao area, involved
an articulated vehicle laden with roofing sheets.
The trailer reportedly rammed into an 18-seater Hummer bus, a Micra taxi, and a Honda CR-V car.
Eyewitnesses said the trailer suffered brake failure, which resulted in the crash into three other vehicles heading in the same direction.
However, heavy duty towing vehicles assisted in removing trapped vehicles from the scene, while some of the rescued passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
