A delegation of the campaign council of Attorney Charles Onyirimba, the ADP flag bearer for the 2027 Okigwe Zone senatorial election, has paid a condolence visit to Hon. Emma Mba in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area.

The team, which was led by Mrs Favour Nwelue, the Director-General, also used the occasion to extend sympathy to the bereaved and engage prominent political stakeholders in the forthcoming senatorial contest.

The visit provided an opportunity for the campaign delegation to express solidarity with Hon. Mba and his family in their moment of grief, following the loss of his nephew and also strengthening relationships with influential political figures in the area.

During the engagement, several political heavyweights pledged their support for Onyirimba’s senatorial aspiration, signalling their willingness to identify with his campaign ahead of the 2027 election.

The pledges came as the campaign council continued its consultations across Okigwe Zone, reaching out to community leaders, political stakeholders and other influential groups to discuss the need for effective representation and development.

Onyirimba, who is seeking to represent Okigwe Zone in the Senate on the ADP platform, has made grassroots engagement a feature of his campaign, with his team visiting communities and holding discussions on the expectations of the electorate.

The condolence visit also underscored the importance of solidarity and personal relationships in community life, providing a setting in which political stakeholders could interact beyond formal campaign meetings.

The campaign council’s engagement with the stakeholders forms part of its broader effort to build relationships across the zone’s six local government areas ahead of the 2027 senatorial election.

The political support pledged during the visit is expected to feature in the campaign’s continuing stakeholder engagements as Onyirimba seeks to broaden his support base across Okigwe Zone.

The council’s outreach continues against the backdrop of public concerns about representation, infrastructure, employment and accountability, issues that are expected to remain central to discussions ahead of the senatorial election.
