Attorney Charles Onyirimba, the ADP flag bearer for the 2027 Okigwe Zone senatorial election, has received another recognition for his commitment to the service of God and humanity, as the Treasure House Women of Christian Treasure Assembly, Umuakagu Nsu in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, Imo State, honoured him at their annual Treasure Women Conference.
The award was presented on Sunday during the conference, themed “Blessed Among Women,” in recognition of Onyirimba’s outstanding service and support for the church and humanity.
Receiving the award on his behalf, the Director-General of the Charles Onyirimba Senatorial Campaign Council, Mrs Favour Nwelue, led a delegation of council members to the event. She explained that despite the short notice, the delegation honoured the invitation because Onyirimba holds the things of God in high regard and is passionate about supporting the work of the Kingdom.

Nwelue thanked the women for recognising Onyirimba’s qualities and considering him worthy of the honour. She urged them to translate their appreciation into political support by voting for him on the platform of the All Democratic Party (ADP) in the forthcoming senatorial election.
In a further demonstration of goodwill, Nwelue made a substantial financial donation towards the church’s needs and expressed confidence that, following Onyirimba’s anticipated election in January 2027, he would return to offer thanksgiving in the church’s new building, currently under construction.
The ceremony also celebrated several other personalities whose contributions have helped sustain the church and advance the Gospel.
Among the awardees was Mommy Ekeledo, whom the pastor commended for the enduring support she and her late husband gave the church during its early days, when its membership reportedly numbered between 10 and 20. Her continued commitment and active participation over the years were particularly acknowledged.

Nwelue also testified to Ekeledo’s good nature and generosity, corroborating the tributes paid to her and pledging a token financial contribution in her honour.
Other recipients included Emeka Agucha; Pastor and Pastor Mrs Ben Iwu; Mr Luke Igwe; Pastor Ezechinyere Osuji; Mr Chris Okoro; and Mr Chinonso Igwe, among others.
Earlier, in her welcome address, Mommy Rita Amaechi explained that the awardees were selected not because of their religious, political or social standing, but because of their tangible contributions and sustained support for the church.
“You may not have known how your support and prayers have encouraged us all these years,” she said. “We consider you as partners in progress in the Lord’s business. We are grateful for your moral and financial support.”

Adding to the atmosphere of joy and thanksgiving, the church welcomed a baby girl on the morning of the women’s conference, an occurrence that brought an additional reason for celebration to the gathering.
The conference combined spiritual enrichment with lively fellowship and entertainment. One of its light-hearted highlights saw husbands make token payments to secure the release of their wives, adding humour and excitement to the celebration.
The event underscored the church’s commitment to godliness, fellowship and the recognition of individuals whose contributions have strengthened its ministry over the years.
