Uba Princess Chidinma Ugoji, a young Nigerian widow, has cried out over the wicked act of her in-laws towards her and her three sons and a daughter.
She recounted her sorrowful ordeal since the death of her husband in a Facebook post on December 24.
According to her, her brothers-in-law have taken over her late husband’s house, forcing her and her children onto the streets without a shelter over their heads.
In the post, the widow lamented that her her late husband’s brothers allegedly went to the house in her absence and threw her staff and younger sister out, changed the locks on the house and went away with the documents, leaving behind threats that she would be killed if she ventured near the house again.
“It’s not my wish to become a widow at this time leaving this innocent 3 little boys and our adopted daughter for only me to carter for,” she bemoaned.
“God decided to call my dear husband home on time, away from sickness and pains. But it will be an error for I Uba Princess Chidinma Ugoji to fold my arms and allow my late husband’s brothers take away what their late father and I laboured for.
“Since last week I have been denied access to the home I live with my children.”
Narrating more of her ordeal, she added: “My husband’s brothers went to my house with men of the under world, thinking I was inside so that they could end my life and that of my children. Unfortunately for them, they met my absence inside my compound but unleashed their anger on my staff and my younger sister, went away with documents, pushed them out of my home almost naked and gave a stern warning that I shouldn’t come close to my house if I don’t want to my family to come and carry my dead body.
“As if that wasn’t enough, they changed my house keys and locked I and my kids outside. With the help of the Nigeria police, they were able to apprehend them yesterday and took one of them to my house and made him unlock their keys so that I and my kids can have access to my house.
”I never knew this is what young widows go through in the hands of some Mbano people. Death!!!!! You do this one.”
