Leaders of the Organised Labour have stated their acceptance of the new National Minimum Wage of N70, 000 announced by President Bola Tinubu on Thursday.
According to Comrade Joe Ajaero, President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), who briefed newsmen on the matter, the unions accepted the offer.
Ajaero, who was flanked by representatives of the workers, including Comrade Festus Usifo, President of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, said the unions accepted the offer because there were other incentives attached.
He added that the president’s promise for a review every three years, unlike now, contributed to their acceptance of the offer.
