The Lagos State Government is set to reintroduce the monthly sanitation on Saturday eight years after.
Billed for re- launch next Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Lagos Island, the format of the monthly sanitation exercise is not yet clear.
The state government had on November 23, 2016, announced the cancellation of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise, following a legal loss over the restriction of movement during the monthly sanitation.
However, the Lagos State government had said the decision was due to a resolution arrived at its Executive Council meeting which approved the need for a robust review of the environmental laws and procedures in the state.
