Drama in court as Oba Otudeko’s trial begins, counsel protests ₦12.3bn fraud allegation

Bode Olanipekun, SAN, the legal counsel for the Chairman of the Honeywell Group, Oba Otudeko, on Monday protested against  the allegations of ₦12.3 billion fraud against his client.
According to him, he protested because the charges had not been formally served on Otudeko and his two co-defendants.
Olanipekun the counsel for all the three defendants, including Olabisi Onasanya,  the former Managing Director of First Bank Plc., and a former Honeywell board member, in the case.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has dragged  the accused to court to face a 13-count charge against trio alongside

a company called Anchorage Leisure Ltd.

The EFCC claims that the defendants acquired the ₦12.3 billion fraudulently.
