The official opening of the campaign headquarters of Attorney Charles Onyirimba on Friday, July 31, 2026, turned into a remarkable political gathering as supporters, party faithful and admirers converged in large numbers, transforming the venue into a vibrant rallying point for the growing Transformation Agenda in Okigwe Zone.
The sprawling campaign office, located at Umuola, Umunakanu, near Nkwo Umuezeala Market in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, came alive from the early hours of the day. Music filled the air as elegantly dressed women in coordinated ensemble sang, danced and celebrated what many described as the dawn of a new political era for the zone.
The colourful event attracted respected community leaders, professionals, traditional title holders, religious leaders, political stakeholders and other eminent personalities who gathered to identify with Onyirimba’s vision for a transformed Okigwe Zone.
Among those present were the Secretary of the Transformation Agenda, Chief J.O.J. Okoroafor; Chief Eleven Million; members of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) State Working Committee; LGA Coordinators; LGA Women Leaders; LGA Youth Leaders; and representatives of every arm of the Transformation Agenda, including the Patriots, Matrons, Youth Vanguard, Eaglets and Squad. Also in attendance were the Apex Women Leader, Mrs. Favour Nwelue; the ADP State Chairman, Dr. Uzo Nmezi, and several other distinguished guests.
The ceremony commenced with prayers led by Rev. Odinaka Okereke, who prayed for divine guidance and declared that Onyirimba would emerge as the next senator representing Okigwe Zone. The official ribbon-cutting was performed by Dr. Uzo Nmezi, who dedicated the campaign headquarters in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He also offered prayers for victory and for the removal of every obstacle on Onyirimba’s path to the Senate.
In her welcome address, the Apex Women Leader, Mrs. Favour Nwelue, described the new campaign office as the home of every supporter of the Transformation Agenda. She urged everyone to remain united and committed, stressing that the journey to the Senate had begun in earnest and would require the collective efforts of all supporters.
Speaker after speaker extolled Onyirimba’s record of philanthropy, professional accomplishments, international exposure and commitment to selfless service. They described him as a leader with integrity, competence and courage whose aspiration represents fresh hope for effective representation and sustainable development across long suffering Okigwe Zone.
The speakers also called on the people of the zone to unite behind his candidacy and embrace a new era of purposeful leadership driven by service rather than personal ambition and godfatherism.
Speaking by telephone with our correspondent after the event, Attorney Charles Onyirimba expressed profound appreciation to everyone who attended. He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership, pledging to remain accessible to the people while pursuing policies that will attract development, create opportunities for young people, empower women and restore the pride and dignity of Okigwe Zone.
As the event ended amid sustained music, dancing and celebration, one message echoed throughout the gathering: the new campaign headquarters is more than a political office; it is the symbol of a fast-growing movement determined to write a new chapter in the history of Okigwe Zone.
Many remarked that if the opening of a campaign office could attract such an overwhelming turnout, the march toward victory in the 2027 senatorial election would be difficult to stop.
