Attorney Dr. Charles Onyirimba has called on the people of Okigwe Zone (Imo North Senatorial District) to embrace unity, renew their faith, and remain resolute in the face of present challenges, as Christians across the world mark the Holy Week.

The message, which also heralds the new month of April, comes on the heels of what insiders describe as a historic, high-impact, and earth-shaking strategic meeting between Onyirimba and coordinators drawn from all six local government areas of the zone.

Sources familiar with the gathering said the meeting was not only unprecedented in scale but also remarkable for its clarity of vision, depth of engagement, and unifying spirit. Held in an atmosphere charged with purpose and determination, the session reportedly brought together grassroots leaders, political mobilisers, and key stakeholders in what has been hailed as one of the most well-coordinated, forward-looking, and electrifying political assemblies in recent times within Okigwe Zone.

Participants were said to have left the meeting energised and aligned, with a renewed commitment to a common agenda centred on transformation, inclusion, and people-driven development. Observers noted that the convergence signaled a significant consolidation of structure and support across the six local governments, setting the tone for what many believe could redefine political engagement in the zone.

Against this backdrop, Onyirimba, in his Holy Week message, described the period as a time for deep reflection, sacrifice, and recommitment to shared values. He urged residents to draw strength from the spiritual significance of the season and to translate faith into action through unity, compassion, and service.

“Times may be challenging, but they will not define us. What defines us is our collective resolve to rise, rebuild, and reclaim our future,” he stated.

He emphasised that the path to sustainable progress lies in unity of purpose, urging the people to stand together and support one another across communities.

While extending goodwill for the new month, Onyirimba expressed strong optimism about the future of Okigwe Zone, noting that recent engagements across the district reflect a growing hunger for purposeful leadership and measurable progress.

He also reiterated his commitment to the advancement of the zone, subtly pointing to the 2027 senatorial race and calling for active civic participation. He stressed the importance of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), urging eligible citizens to see them not just as a requirement, but as a tool for shaping their collective destiny.

Onyirimba concluded by praying for peace, unity, and prosperity across Okigwe Zone, expressing confidence that with sustained collaboration and shared vision, the district is on the cusp of a new era of transformation.
