The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, on Friday sacked his entire cabinet.
Eno said he took the step to inject fresh faces and professionals to drive the development agenda of the state.
The governor made the announcement during a valedictory session at the Exco Chamber in Uyo on Friday.
Most of the commissioners have served since the tenure of former Governor Udom Emmanuel.
However, Eno reportedly retained them to allow them to complete their tenure as compensation for their services.
Governor Eno rated all the commissioner’s high and lauded them for their hard work and dedication.
“All of you have delivered, and that’s why the Arise Agenda has succeeded,” he said. “But we must come to the end of a season, start another season, and keep moving,” Eno said.
