The Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate for Okigwe Zone (Imo North) in the 2027 Senatorial election, Attorney Charles Onyirimba, has formally presented his Certificate of Nomination to Local Government Coordinators of the Transformation Agenda Team.
Tge legal luminary described the document as a collective achievement of the people rather than a personal victory.
Addressing the coordinators drawn from across the six local government areas of Okigwe Zone, Onyirimba thanked members of the movement for their commitment, sacrifices, and patience throughout the nomination process.
“This certificate belongs to all of you. I am only the messenger. I am only the representative, but this document belongs to you. I thank you all for your efforts, sacrifices, and patience. The journey has just begun,” he said.
The presentation was greeted with enthusiasm by the coordinators who reaffirmed their commitment to the Transformation Agenda and the task of mobilising support across the zone ahead of the 2027 elections.
Attorney Onyirimba recently emerged as the Action Democratic Party’s standard-bearer for the Okigwe Zone Senate seat, receiving the party’s nomination to contest the election. His emergence followed consultations and growing calls for a new leadership direction focused on effective representation, grassroots development, youth empowerment, infrastructure renewal, and inclusive governance.
Observers view the presentation of the nomination certificate to grassroots coordinators, as a symbolic demonstration of Onyirimba’s people-centred leadership style and his belief that political success is built on collective effort and shared ownership of a vision.
With the nomination process concluded, attention is now shifting to the broader campaign as the Transformation Agenda Team intensifies preparations for the 2027 senatorial contest.
