A former Muslim woman has ignited intense online conversation after sharing a deeply personal reflection on how Jesus is portrayed in the Quran compared to the Bible, offering a perspective that has drawn both curiosity and controversy across social media.
The video, posted on X by AsakyGRN, features the woman recounting her spiritual journey after 26 years in Islam, focusing on what she describes as striking distinctions in how Jesus is referenced in Islamic scripture. According to her, the Quran accords Jesus unique titles such as the “Word of God,” the “Spirit of God,” and the “Messiah”—designations she claims are not attributed to Prophet Muhammad or other figures within the text.
Citing specific passages, including Surah Al-Imran (3:45) and Surah An-Nisa (4:171), she noted that Jesus is singled out in language she found both profound and thought-provoking. She further observed that the title al-Masih—meaning “the Messiah”—is used multiple times in reference to Jesus alone, reinforcing what she sees as a distinctive status. She also pointed to the Quranic description of Jesus’ birth, where he is referred to as a “pure child,” which she interpreted as an indication of sinlessness.
Framing her remarks as a personal discovery rather than an attack on Islam, the woman urged viewers to approach such questions with openness. She emphasized that her journey began not with rejection, but with curiosity—asking questions she felt she had previously overlooked.
Shifting to the Bible, she highlighted what she described as a defining contrast: Jesus’ direct and personal claims about himself. Referencing his declaration, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” she argued that unlike other prophets who pointed followers toward God’s laws, Jesus presented himself as the central path to divine truth.
