The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has announced the suspension of its two-week warning strike.
The union declared the strike across all public universities in the country last week over grievances against the Federal Government for failing to implement old agreements between them.
Chris Piwuna, President of ASUU, who read a prepared at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, said the union had decided to suspend the strike action.
According to him, the National Executive Council of the union took the decision to give the government a one-month window within which to address all the issues in dispute.
