Dangote Refinery reduces ex-depot petrol price by N40

Dangote Refinery has sliced N40 off  its ex-depot price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrolb, in a move to boost fuel affordability and availability.

This coincides with an increased number of independent marketers, who are partnering with the refinery in the distribution of its petroleum products countrywide.

The growing partnership will doubtlessly enhance product accessibility and ensure that consumers benefit from competitive pricing.Consequently, the petroleum industry  will enjoy stability and thereby support Nigeria’s energy needs.

According to a press release the Dangote Group announced the signing up of new marketers in the partnership deal with Dangote Refinery at a time the refinery management announced that it has reduced its ex-depot price for petrol, reducing it from N880 to N840 per litre with effect from June 30, 2025.

Anthony Chiejina, Dangote Group’s spokesperson, confirmed the price adjustment in Lagos, stating: “PMS price has been reduced from N880 to N840 per litre effective 30th June.”
He added that Dangote Refinery’s existing partners – MRS, Heyden, Ardova (AP), Hyde, Optima, and Techno Oil – are expected to reflect the new pricing at their retail outlets.Also, Chiejina revealed that many new marketing companies have joined Dangote’s distribution network, including TotalEnergies, Garima Petroleum, Sunbeth Energies, Sobaz Nigeria Ltd., Virgin Forest Energy, Sixxco Oil Ltd., N.U. Synergy Ltd., and Soroman Nigeria Ltd.

Others are Jezco Oil Nigeria Ltd., Jengre, Cocean, Kifayat, Triumph Golden, Sifem Global, Riquest, and Mamu Oil, among others.

The 650 million barrels per day Dangote Refinery is the largest single-train refinery in the world.

The Refinery also plans that effective from August 15, 2025, it will commence direct delivery of petrol and diesel to filling stations, industrial facilities, and other high-volume consumers.
