Pope Leo XIV has officially declared that marriage is a sacred union exclusively between a man and a woman — affirming it as the only marriage recognized by God under Catholic doctrine.

This declaration came even before his official installation,

The Pontiff further announced that henceforth the Catholic Church would no longer bless same-sex marriages, emphasizing that the family must be rooted in this stable and God-ordained union.

Speaking on the issue of abortion, he described it as “demonic and evil,” reaffirming the Church’s strong opposition. He emphasized the inherent dignity of the unborn and extended his call for respect and care to the elderly, sick, unemployed, and immigrants.

The Poe’s stance signifies a return to traditional Catholic values.

He also called for global peace, diplomacy, and interfaith dialogue.
