Onyeka Onwenu, Nigeria’s iconic songstress, who died on July 30, 2024 will be buried on Friday (today) in Lagos.
The celebrated multi-talented singer, fondly known as the “Elegant Stallion,” died at Reddington Hospital, Ikeja, after collapsing at the birthday event in honour Dr. Stella Okoli, the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
She was 72 years old.
According to CKN News reports, the funeral service, as announced by the family, will take place at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi.
Also, a funeral flyer stated that the Service of Songs is scheduled for 10 -12 noon while the burial, 2-4pm.
Onyeka Onwenu was not only a gifted musician with numerous hits but also a broadcaster, actress, politician, and activist.
She is survived by her two sons
