The family of popular Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has confirmed his death following a battle with advanced metastatic kidney cancer, bringing an end to days of growing concern and speculation over his prolonged absence from the public eye.<\/p>\n
In a statement released on Wednesday through the late actor\u2019s official Instagram page, the family disclosed that the actor died at Evercare Hospital after complications arising from the illness.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, brother and friend, Alexx Ikenna Ekubo-Okwaraeke,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n
According to the family, the actor battled the disease quietly, choosing to keep his health struggles away from public attention while holding on to faith and hope for recovery.<\/p>\n
