{"id":9557,"date":"2026-04-15T09:53:31","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T09:53:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=9557"},"modified":"2026-04-15T10:02:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T10:02:16","slug":"abomination-police-arrest-man-for-impregnating-gran-daughter-in-niger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2026\/04\/15\/abomination-police-arrest-man-for-impregnating-gran-daughter-in-niger\/","title":{"rendered":"Abomination: Man lands in police net for impregnating grand daughter in Niger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-9559\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/images1-3-300x178.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/images1-3-300x178.jpg 300w, https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/images1-3.jpg 588w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">By Amah<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Kindly share:<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">A 64-year-old man is now telling the Niger State Police Command all he knows about the pregnancy of his 16-year-old grand daughter.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>The suspect, Musa Gado, who hails from Lufari village in Mariga Local Government Area of the State, allegedly sexually abused the minor, resulting in a pregnancy, a development that has left the community in shock.<\/p>\n<p>The minor has already been delivered of a baby, four months ago.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Umulkhatum Mohammed, the Director-General of the Niger State Child Rights Agency (CRA), who\u00a0 disclosed the development in an interview with journalists in Minna, the Niger State capital, stated the victim&#8217;s father, Lawali Na\u2019ababa, and the village head, reported the case to the Agency on October 5, 2025 when the pregnancy was already six months gone.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>According to her, the Agency immediately took steps to protect the minor, placing her under care to beat pressures to be abort the pregnancy until she was safely delivered of a baby boy in December 2025.Furthermore, Umulkhatum Mohammed\u00a0claimed that a DNA test to determine paternity of the baby revealed a 99.99 percent chances that\u00a0 the suspect is the biological father of the child.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe result was presented to all parties involved, after which the suspect, who is still denying responsibility, was arrested and taken into custody by the State Criminal Investigation Department,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is currently in custody and will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Mohammed deplored the\u00a0spike in child abuse cases in the state, and reiterated the Agency&#8217;s resolve to remain committed to protecting vulnerable children and ensuring justice was served.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Wasiu Abiodun, a superintendent of police, and spokesperson f the Niger State Police Command, confirmed the arrest.
