The Lagos State Government has ordered the immediate closure of the Ladipo Spare Parts Market along the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road, citing persistent environmental infractions and defiance of sanitation regulations.<\/p>\n

The action was announced on Sunday by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, via a post on \ud835\udd4f, where he disclosed that the market was sealed following repeated observations of indiscriminate waste dumping, obstruction of road medians, and illegal street trading.<\/p>\n

Located along the busy Apapa\u2013Oshodi Expressway, Ladipo Market has long been flagged by environmental enforcement teams for activities that compromise public safety and urban order.<\/p>\n

Officials said the latest closure was executed by the Lagos taskforce as part of the state\u2019s renewed clampdown on environmental abuses.<\/p>\n

According to the government, the enforcement aligns with its broader commitment to safeguarding public health, ensuring cleanliness, and restoring order across the metropolis.<\/p>\n

\u201cLagos State Government, this morning, sealed Ladipo Spare Parts Market along Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road (Apapa\u2013Oshodi Expressway) over repeated environmental infractions; indiscriminate refuse disposal on the median\/highway and illegal street trading. #ZeroToleranceLagos,\u201d Wahab said in the post.<\/p>\n
