The Nigeria Police Force has arrested six suspects in connection with an alleged large-scale cyber intrusion targeting a major telecommunication company in the country.<\/p>\n

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects are accused of unlawfully breaching the core operating systems of the telecom firm.<\/p>\n

Hundeyin revealed that the cyberattack enabled the suspects to divert airtime and mobile data valued at approximately \u20a67.7 billion, causing significant financial losses to the company.<\/p>\n

The police spokesperson noted that the arrests followed intelligence-led investigations into suspicious network activities and revenue leakages within the telecom operator\u2019s system.<\/p>\n
