{"id":8261,"date":"2025-11-18T08:26:46","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T08:26:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=8261"},"modified":"2025-11-18T08:26:46","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T08:26:46","slug":"bandits-storm-kebbi-school-kill-vice-principal-abduct-25-female-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2025\/11\/18\/bandits-storm-kebbi-school-kill-vice-principal-abduct-25-female-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Bandits storm Kebbi school, kill vice principal, abduct 25 female students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/9k2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"192\" height=\"108\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8254\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By Amah<br \/>\nKindly share:<\/p>\n<p>Bandits on Monday, November 17, 2025, attacked Government Girls\u2019 Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Danko\/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killing the vice principal and abducting 25 female students.<\/p>\n<p>Another teacher in the school was also shot but he survived.<\/p>\n<p>CSP Nafi\u2019u Abubakar, spokesperson of the Kebbi State Police Command, confirmed the abduction in a statement he issued in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.<\/p>\n<p>According to Abubakar, a gang of armed bandits, invaded the school at about 4 a.m., wielding sophisticated weapons and shooting sporadically.<\/p>\n<p>He further disclosed that the police tactical units deployed in the school engaged the attackers in a gun duel but<br \/>\n\u201cunfortunately, the bandits had already scaled the school fence and abducted 25 students from their hostel to an unknown destination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSimilarly, one Hassan Makuku, was shot dead, while one Ali Shehu, sustained an injury on his right hand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Abubakar added that additional police tactical units, military personnel, and vigilantes had been deployed to the area and now combing the bandits\u2019 routes and nearby forests, to rescue the students and nab the perpetrators.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner of Police, Bello Sani, Abubakar said,  restated the command\u2019s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents of the state.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the public to remain calm, vigilant, and to continue supporting security operations to ensure the maintenance of peace and stability. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Amah Kindly share: Bandits on Monday, November 17, 2025, attacked Government Girls\u2019 Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Danko\/Wasagu Local&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":8254,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[1692,1693],"class_list":["post-8261","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-crime","tag-government-girls-comprehensive-secondary-school","tag-maga"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.8 -
