{"id":8068,"date":"2025-11-01T07:01:39","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T07:01:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=8068"},"modified":"2025-11-01T07:01:39","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T07:01:39","slug":"8068","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2025\/11\/01\/8068\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Screenshot_20251101-074807-300x181.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"181\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8069\"How disgraced Prince Andrew hired 40 prostitutes in four days\n\n\nBy Bose\nKindly share:\n\nDisgraced Prince Andrew allegedly arranged for 40 prostitutes during a taxpayer-funded trip to Thailand, according to royal biographer Andrew Lownie.\n\nLownie made the claim during the Daily Mail\u2019s podcast Deep Dive: The Fall of the House of York, stating that the Duke of York engaged with the women over four days while staying in a five-star hotel during an official visit for the Thai king\u2019s birthday celebration.\n\n\u201cAndrew was representing his country but insisted on staying in a luxury hotel rather than the embassy,\u201d Lownie said. \u201cHe had 40 prostitutes brought in the space of four days, all enabled by diplomats and others.\u201d\n\nThe historian said multiple sources, including a member of the Thai royal family, corroborated the allegation.\n\nAccording to Lownie, the Thailand visit was one of several taxpayer-funded trips the prince exploited while serving as the UK\u2019s Trade Envoy between 2001 and 2011. \u201cHe used the excuse of his role as Trade Envoy, paid for by the taxpayer, to go on these trips. He always added two weeks of private time, so taxpayers effectively paid for his holidays,\u201d he added.\n\nLownie also accused the British government of maintaining a \u201cconspiracy of silence\u201d by keeping files from Andrew\u2019s time as Trade Envoy sealed. \u201cAll the files from 2001 to 2011 remain closed. They should be in the National Archive,\u201d he said.\n\nHis comments came shortly before Buckingham Palace officially stripped Andrew of his royal titles and evicted him from his longtime residence amid renewed backlash over his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.\n\nThe controversy deepened after Epstein\u2019s accuser, Virginia Roberts Giuffre\u2014who claimed she was forced to have sex with Andrew as a teenager\u2014reiterated her allegations in her posthumous memoir.
