{"id":78,"date":"2024-06-16T17:38:10","date_gmt":"2024-06-16T17:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=78"},"modified":"2024-06-16T17:38:10","modified_gmt":"2024-06-16T17:38:10","slug":"couple-die-mysteriously-in-ondo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2024\/06\/16\/couple-die-mysteriously-in-ondo\/","title":{"rendered":"Couple die mysteriously in Ondo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-79\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/download-8.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"209\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Couple die mysteriously in Ondo<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nA middle-aged man identified as Eric and his yet-to-be-identified girlfriend have been found dead in their room at their residence in Ondo.<\/p>\n<p>Channels TV reports that they were found dead on Saturday in the man\u2019s apartment located Ayeyemi area of the city in Ondo West Local Government Area of the state<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, some neighbours and residents of the area said that the couple had put on a generating set and charged a phone in a socket placed on the bed.<\/p>\n<p>They suggested it was possible that the woman\u2019s chain made contact with the socket, resulting in electrocution.<\/p>\n<p>A resident simply identified as Ayo narrated that Eric\u2019s relatives found the bodies when they checked on him after he didn\u2019t answer his phone.<\/p>\n<p>He said, on getting to his residence, they looked through the window and saw the bodies, and then broke down the door to gain access into the house.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson of Ondo State Police Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya has confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n<p>She stated that the deceased had been dating each other for about two years now and both families are aware of their relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Their remains have been evacuated and deposited at the morgue in a nearby hospital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Couple die mysteriously in Ondo A middle-aged man identified as Eric and his yet-to-be-identified girlfriend have been found dead in&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[22,21],"class_list":["post-78","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","tag-electrocution","tag-ondo-state"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.8 -
