The National Industrial Court in Abuja on Monday barred the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, from cutting off crude and gas supply to Dangote Petroleum Refinery.<\/p>\n

Ruling on an ex-parte application by Dangote Refinery Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim specifically ordered PENGASSAN not to go ahead with its plan against the 650 barrels per day refinery.<\/p>\n

Other defendants in the suit affected by the order include Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd, NNPCL, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, and the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC.<\/p>\n

Dangote Refinery was represented by George Ibrahim, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.<\/p>\n

The judge ordered the the trade union to immediately desist from the action, adding that the proposed strike would disrupt the operations of the Refinery and may inflict serious damage to the nation\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he directed that the restraining order and suit be served on all defendants without delay and adjourned the matter till October 13 for hearing of the motion on notice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
