Evangelist Isaac Josiah of Reclaimers Ministry in Benin City sparked outrage after a viral video showed him handing out bras, wrappers, and pyjamas during service, vowing to clothe worshippers he deemed indecent and warning that \u201cif we can\u2019t change you in this church, look for another church.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lead pastor of Reclaimers Ministry in Benin City, Edo State, Evangelist Isaac Josiah, has stirred reactions after a viral Facebook video showed him handing out bras, wrappers, and pyjamas during service to discourage what he called \u201cindecent dressing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Criticizing female worshippers\u2019 outfits, he declared: \u201cThose days when a believer told you, \u2018It\u2019s twelve o\u2019clock, it\u2019s twelve o\u2019clock,\u2019 it was because of the heart. Heart posture: if you have the right heart, you won\u2019t wear something to seduce people in the church. Where are the ushers? Bring my apparatus.\u201d<\/p>\n
He directed ushers: \u201cBrother Osase, Eric, and Chimere, you are at the door. From today, any girl who enters this church and we see her nipple, we will give her a bra and say, \u2018We have discovered that you can\u2019t afford a bra. So, on behalf of the church, we give you this.\u2019 If we can\u2019t change you in this church, look for another church. Look at me, I\u2019m a young man. I want to make heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
The pastor added, \u201cIf you give any sister whose nipple is showing a bra and she refuses, call her and ask, \u2018How much is a tricycle to your house?\u2019 So, Brother Eric, Osase and Chimere, on behalf of the church, we ordain you as our disciplinarians from today.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also instructed: \u201cIf God blesses you (Brother Eric, Osase, Chimere) now, we need the bras in different sizes. God will bless the ushering team. Also, if someone comes to church wearing a bra but her outfit is not decent, give her this white cloth. We are looking for angels in our church. When you leave your house in a mini skirt and start adjusting it in church, or you (a man) leave home without a belt, just call them and give them this white pyjama.\u201d<\/p>\n
Slamming revealing attire, he said: \u201cMany pastors will not tell you what I am telling you. If we can\u2019t change you in this church, look for another church. When we praise God and jump like this, a brother will say, \u2018I want to praise God, but my manhood is reacting, how do I praise God?\u2019 What some brothers have fallen in love with in this church are breasts and buttocks. They don\u2019t love the girl; what they are looking at is not real.\u201d<\/p>\n
Josiah further told ushers to shield nursing mothers: \u201cA nursing mother\u2019s body is private and not meant for public display.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have serious issues with the people. When you come to church and your tight back is showing, or, as a guy, you enter church without a belt, we will buy one for you.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will buy belts next week. Just tell them, \u2018Brothers, come. We made this special for you to wear. You\u2019re a Reclaimer. Use this to reclaim the world.\u2019 For some mothers here, their breasts are for their husbands and their children.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf they come to church with their breasts exposed, cover them with this wrapper. If they want to use a handkerchief, say no it can\u2019t cover it and tell them we have a wrapper for them.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are serious about this decision. I\u2019m not joking. If I see such a thing again, I will not take it easy, because we\u2019re raising disciplined people.<\/p>\n
