Senator Uche Ekwunife, the Anambra deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has apologised to the state governor, Charles Soludo, and his wife, Nonye, over unsavoury altercations between them.<\/p>\n
She denied uttering infidelity allegations against the governor’s wife, that she had kids with Chief Chris Uba. <\/p>\n
\u200eBoth ladies had engaged each other in a bitter war of words coming on the heels of the governor’s accusation that Ekwunife’s PhD certificate was fake.<\/p>\n
Ekwunife had fired back, dragging the governor’s wife into the fray, alleging infidelity.<\/p>\n
The Anambra First Lady had denied the allegation and offered that both of them should undergo paternity tests for all their children to determine who their real fathers are.

\nHowever, in a press release signed on her behalf by Tony Ezike, her Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ekwunife apologised to Soludo and his wife and debunked the publication that claimed she accused Nonye of having kids for Uba.<\/p>\n
\u200e\u201cThe attention of Sen. Uche Ekwunife, the Anambra All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Governorship Candidate, has been drawn to an article falsely attributed to her camp, alleging that Mrs. Nonye Soludo, the wife of the Anambra State Governor, had children for Chief Chris Uba,” \u200ethe statement read.

\n\u200e\u201cSen. Uche Ekwunife categorically states that although she has been maligned, defamed, and disparaged by the governor\u2019s media team, the said publication did not emanate from her or her camp.<\/p>\n
\u200e\u201cShe further wishes to apologise to the Governor, his wife, and the general public who may have been affected by the altercations of the past few days.<\/p>\n
\u200e\u201cSen. Ekwunife calls on her supporters to remain focused and avoid any media writing that may suggest altercation with the First Family or any other person as she continues with her campaigns.\u201d
