Nigeria\u2019s D\u2019Tigress have again won the Women\u2019s AfroBasket title, after defeating Mali to win the coveted trophy for the
\nfifth consecutive.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian team beat the Malian ladies 78-64 to lift to becomes champions for the seventh time, extending their unbeaten streak at the Women\u2019s AfroBasket tournament to 29 games.<\/p>\n

With the victory, the Rena Wakama\u2019s D\u2019Tigress also qualified for the 2026 FIBA Women\u2019s World Cup, which will be hosted by Germany.<\/p>\n

The victory did not come easily. Though
\nD\u2019Tigress dominated the first quarter, which it won 26-21, the two rivals settled scores evenly at 41-41 in the second quarter.<\/p>\n

However, D\u2019Tigress subdued the hard-fighting Malians 61-56 in the third quarter, eventually claiming the title with you 78-64 advantage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
