Senator Rabiu Musa, a former Governor of Kano State, has accused the President Bola Tinubu-led administration of imbalances in the deployment of national resources.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the Public Hearing on Constitution Review held in Kano on Thursday, Kwankwaso, Kwankwaso warned that unless the anomaly in the spread of infrastructure development and national budget execution is corrected, it could deepen mistrust among Nigerians.<\/p>\n
He accused the Government of focusing Nigeria\u2019s resources on developing the while ignoring the North, citing the deplorable condition of the Abuja-Kano expressway, which he claimed had suffered neglect under the APC administration. <\/p>\n
\u201cLet me advise the Federal Government on the distribution of federal resources. From the information available to us, it\u2019s like most of the national budget is now tilting in one direction in this country,\u201d the former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Political Party, NNPP, said. <\/p>\n
He deplored “a situation where government is taking our resources and dumping it in one part of the country and other parts of the country are left just like that, I don\u2019t believe that is the right thing to do by the government itself. <\/p>\n
\u201cLet me advise the Federal Government on the distribution of federal resources. From the information available to us, it\u2019s like most of the national budget is now tilting in one direction in this country,\u201d he said, and urged the government to address the issue. <\/p>\n
\u201cAnd this is the time for the government to change, to convince our people that the government is not just on one side of the country,\u201d Kwankwaso stated.<\/p>\n
However, the Presidency debunked Kwankwaso’s claims, saying Tinubu has not neglected the North.<\/p>\n
Sunday Dare, Tinubu\u2019s media aide, said in a statement, the northern Nigeria is not left behind.<\/p>\n
