{"id":7079,"date":"2025-07-21T03:39:48","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T03:39:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=7079"},"modified":"2025-07-21T03:39:48","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T03:39:48","slug":"waec-neco-exams-not-cancelled-fg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2025\/07\/21\/waec-neco-exams-not-cancelled-fg\/","title":{"rendered":"WAEC, NECO exams not cancelled -FG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/download-3-2-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/download-3-2-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/download-3-2.jpg 317w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><br \/>\nBy Amah<br \/>\nKindly share:<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Ministry of Education has urged Nigerians to disregard\u00a0a false and misleading statement circulating online, alleging the cancellation of the 2025 WAEC examinations due to widespread malpractice.<br \/>\nThe Director Press, Federal Ministry of Education, Mrs Folasade Boriowo, clarified the government&#8217;s position in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Ministry wishes to categorically disassociate itself from this fake news and clarify the following:<br \/>\n\u201cThe 2025 WAEC Examinations have been successfully concluded, with only a few isolated incidents of malpractice reported, all of which were promptly addressed by the relevant authorities.<br \/>\n\u201cThe ongoing NECO examinations are progressing smoothly, and as of this release, no cases of examination malpractice have been reported,\u201d she said.<br \/>\nBoriowo explained further that the Ministry had not received any official communication or report from WAEC, NECO, or any examination body regarding widespread malpractice in either of the examinations.<br \/>\nShe urged students, parents, school administrators, and the general public to disregard the fake press release currently in circulation.<br \/>\n\u201dIt is entirely fabricated, misleading, and intended to cause unnecessary panic and confusion.<br \/>\n\u201cThe public is advised to seek information only from verified and credible sources, including the official website of the Federal Ministry of Education: www.education.gov.ng,\u201d she added.<br \/>\nOther official websites for verification are: www.waecnigeria.org, www.neco.gov.ng.<br \/>\nShe explained that the ministry remained fully committed to upholding the integrity, credibility, and orderly conduct of all public examinations and would continue working closely with examination bodies to strengthen monitoring and enforcement mechanisms.<br \/>\nShe added that anyone spreading false information would be reported to the appropriate security agencies for investigation and prosecution.
