{"id":6596,"date":"2025-06-22T20:43:01","date_gmt":"2025-06-22T20:43:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=6596"},"modified":"2025-06-22T20:43:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T20:43:02","slug":"efcc-arrests-benue-govs-aide-over-sextortion-cyber-bullying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2025\/06\/22\/efcc-arrests-benue-govs-aide-over-sextortion-cyber-bullying\/","title":{"rendered":"EFCC arrests Benue Gov\u2019s aide over sextortion, cyber bullying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6597\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/images4-2-300x158.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/images4-2-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/images4-2.jpg 310w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Aondona<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Mkor Aondona, the Special Adviser on Documentation, Research and Planning to Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged sexual exploitation and cyber bullying.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mr. Dele Oyewale, EFCC Spokesman, confirmed the areest to newsmen, saying Aondona was arrested by operatives of Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Commission, following accusation of unethical and criminal behaviour involving sexual exploitation, cyber bullying and blackmail by\u00a0some female students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe petitioners alleged that Aondona was routinely recruiting slim and attractive girls for ushering jobs and insisted on sexual favours as a condition for selection,&#8221; Oyewale said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on this, they became vulnerable to having sexual affairs with him but unknown to them, he had videos of every sexual act without their consent and was always threatening to leak the videos if they refused to continue having sex with him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAondona was also alleged to be involved in blackmail; sending explicit videos of the girls allegedly recorded without their knowledge or consent through several messaging platforms.
