Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has debunked rumours that she had cancelled her planned visit to her constituency.<\/p>\n

The controversially suspended Senator, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, vowed that the visit must go on as planned in spite of the restrictions imposed by the Kogi State Government.<\/div>\n
\nSpeaking in a statement on Tuesday, Akpoti-Uduaghan urged her supporters to discountenance rumours that her visit had been canceled.<\/div>\n
\nThe statement read: \u201cWe are pleased to confirm that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan\u2019s Sallah visit to Kogi Central Senatorial District will proceed as planned,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

\u201cDespite rumours circulating online, there has been no official announcement from our office regarding the cancellation of this visit.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan remains committed to engaging with her community and fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer dedication to the people of Kogi Central is unwavering, and she looks forward to celebrating Eid-el-Fitr with her constituents.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to assure the public that all necessary arrangements are in place to ensure a successful and joyous event. We invite all members of the community to join us in marking this special occasion,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

Recall that the Kogi\u2019s Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, stated on Monday\u00a0announced the ban on all rallies and public gatherings, citing security concerns.<\/p>\n

The government also restricted fishing and other activities, due to the recent deaths of two individuals in Kasemiya, Katubo, and Umozu Ette in Kogi West, adding that\u00a0the ban aimed at forestalling security threats and breakdown of law and order in the state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
