Tragedy has struck in Edo State as a would-be-husband killed his bride, seven days to their wedding ceremony.<\/div>\n
\nIt was gathered that the incident happened on March 23, 2025 on Idiagbonya Street in Ovbiogie community, along the Benin-Lagos Expressway.<\/p>\n

The bride-to-be, who was identified as Osasu Aimienoho lsaac, was also reportedly pregnant at the time she was killed alongside her six-year-old daughter, Aleluya Uwuigbe by her inrended husband, Wealth Nnamdi, now at large.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
The little girl was a product of her previous relationship with another man.<\/div>\n
\nThe lovers who were said to have dated for over three years, and scheduled their marriage for March 29, 2025.<\/div>\n
\nNnamdi reportedly joined the deceased and her daughter in an apartment in the community, where she also carried out petty trading.<\/p>\n

However, a source claimed that the couple had an intense disagreement on Sunday, March 23, 2025 but becayse the couple often quarrelled, the
\nneighbours did not bothered.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the quarrel turned tragic,\u00a0 resulting Nnamdi allegedly killing the pregnant woman and her daughter in the room before making good his escape.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter committing the crime, the man locked up the two deceased persons in the room and escaped to an unknown destination,” the source disclosed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe odour that was emitting from the room attracted neighbours who then called the police.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe police then forced the door open and took the pregnant woman and her daughter to the mortuary,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The mother of the deceased intended bride, Mrs Esther Gabriel, said she is still in shock over the murder of her daughter and her grand child.<\/p>\n

However, the sister of the deceased who called for justice, appealed to the police to help fish out the fleeing intended groom.<\/p>\n

Moses Yamu,\u00a0 the spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, confirmed the incident, promising\u00a0that the police would pursue the matter to the end.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
