During the second incident, not just the factory but the fence was pulled down, so we abandoned the project,&#8221; Dangote said.<br \/>\n\u201cHowever, due to Governor Abiodun\u2019s efforts, we have returned. Anyone visiting the factory now would be amazed at the progress achieved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also said that his company had earlier had earlier abandoned its plan to invest in the Olokola Free Trade Zone in the Ogun Waterside Local Government because the previous disappointments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks to your policies and a favourable business climate, we are returning to Olokola. Plans are underway to construct Nigeria\u2019s largest port,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, two new cement plant lines with a combined capacity of six million metric tonnes per annum had been built in Itori.<br \/>\nHe added that 12 million metric tonnes per annum cement plant is also sited at Ibeshe, hence boosting the group\u2019s production capacity in the state.<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that the combined output of the company\u2019s plants in Ogun State would reach 18 million metric tonnes annually, making it Africa\u2019s top cement-producing region.<\/p><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nDangote stressed that Nigeria\u2019s growing economy required private firms to support government initiatives, and Dangote Group remained committed to national development, adding that<br \/>\nhis company is dedicated to investing in Nigeria and transforming the economy by showing unwavering belief in the country and its people.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nGovernor Abiodun thanked Dangote for the visit, and for his trust in the state and continued commitment to Nigeria\u2019s economic progress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour selfless promotion of Nigeria globally is commendable.
