{"id":5086,"date":"2025-03-13T19:32:15","date_gmt":"2025-03-13T19:32:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=5086"},"modified":"2025-03-13T19:32:15","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T19:32:15","slug":"i-remain-member-of-apc-buhari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2025\/03\/13\/i-remain-member-of-apc-buhari\/","title":{"rendered":"I remain member of APC &#8211; Buhari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5087\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/images6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"192\" height=\"129\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Buhari<\/p>\n<p>By Amah<\/p>\n<p>Kindly share:<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Muhammadu Buhari, the immediate past president of Nigeria, has stated that he remains a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and expressed his wish to be addressed as one.<\/p>\n<p>Nasir El-Rufai, former Kaduna State Governor, had stirred controversy when he claimed that he got Buhari approved\u00a0\u00a0his defection from the APC to\u00a0 the Social Democratic Party, SDP.<\/p>\n<p>However, Buhari, in a statement on Thursday by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said he would not leave a party that helped him secure two terms as president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout referring to any individual, a cast of characters, or issues, principles and ideals currently being discussed by party leaders at various levels, the former president, Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated what he said times without number that he is member of the All Progressives Congress, APC and would like to be addressed as a loyal member of the party,&#8221; the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe says he wants to leave no one in doubt that he would never turn his back to the party that gave him two terms of office and would do whatever he can to popularize it. \u201cI am an APC member and I like to be addressed as such.
