\nThe Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has raised alarm over the activities of 62 companies,\u00a0 posturing as investing entities but allegedly defrauding innocent Nigerians of their hard-earned money.<\/div>\n
\nThe commission said it acted in accordance with its mandate to sanitising the financial space of the nation and offer the investing public adequate and reliable information on the activities of illegal ponzi scheme operators across nationwide.<\/p>\n

It added in a statement that the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and the Security Exchange Commission, SEC, confirmed that the companies are not registered with them.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Furthermore, the anti-graft agency disclosed that some of the companies had been dragged to court by the commission and have already secured conviction of five of them while another five pleaded guilty but awaiting review of facts while the rest are pending arraignment.<\/p>\n
