\nA missing final-year female student of the Kwara State College of Education in Ilorin, identified as 24-year-old Lawal Hafsoh Yetunde, has been found dead.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Her mutilated body was found in the house of her boyfriend, an Islamic cleric, she reportedly met on Facebook.<\/p>\n

Yetunde had gone missing on Monday, February 10, 2025 after she received a call from a friend while attending a naming ceremony.<\/p><\/div>\n

\nThereafter, her whereabouts became unknown until Tuesday when her parents reported the case to the Oja Oba Police Station in Ilorin.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It was gathered that the police requested her phone number and used it to track her last call. The call was traced to an individual living in the Offa Garage district area of Ilorin, although his family house is in Isalekuto.<\/div>\n
\n\u201cThe suspect was arrested but initially denied knowledge of the lady\u2019s whereabouts. However, when the police searched his house, he confessed that the lady was in his area and had died from an asthma attack after he called her to come over,” a source disclosed.<\/p>\n

\u201cUpon further investigation, the police found the lady\u2019s body, dismembered and hidden in a bowl, along with the equipment used to dismember her. The suspect is now at the police headquarters in Ilorin.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe deceased lady was a final year student of the Kwara State College of Education in Ilorin. They met on Facebook, where he obtained her phone number. He then called her, inviting her to come over.”<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
The suspect, Bello, claimed that Hafsoh had died from an asthma attack after visiting his home.<\/p>\n

However, a table stocked found in his house with tools for dismembering bodies, suggesting that he may not be new to the crime.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kwara State Police Command is aware of the gruesome killing of one Miss Yetunde H. Lawal. On 11\/O2\/2025 at about 1800 hours, a case of a missing person was reported at C Division Oja-Oba by her father, Mr Ibrahim A Lawal,” Ejire-Adeyemi Adetoun, spokesperson of command, said.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\u201cImmediately, the police detectives swung into action, tracked her number and arrested a suspect, and exhibits were recovered. The case was transferred yesterday to the SCID for discreet investigations.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurther updates will be communicated as investigations progress.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n

\nAccording to police sources, Bello is the son of a well-known Islamic cleric from Isalekoto, who died recently.<\/div>\n
