{"id":4527,"date":"2025-01-29T18:13:13","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T18:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=4527"},"modified":"2025-01-29T18:13:13","modified_gmt":"2025-01-29T18:13:13","slug":"jamb-suspends-law-programme-admissions-in-8-institutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2025\/01\/29\/jamb-suspends-law-programme-admissions-in-8-institutions\/","title":{"rendered":"JAMB suspends Law programme admissions in 8 institutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4484\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Ishaq-Oloyede-300x162.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Ishaq-Oloyede-300x162.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Ishaq-Oloyede.jpeg 627w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Prof Oluyede<\/p>\n<p>By Publisher<\/p>\n<p>Kindly share:<\/p>\n<p>The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will not be conducting admissions for the Law programme in eight institutions\u00a0following the suspension of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme.<\/p>\n<p>A statement signed by the Public Communications Advisor of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja on Wednesday, said the Council of Legal Education (CLE) for the 2025\/2026 academic session had suspended law programmes for violating regulatory procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin listed the affected universities as follows: Kwara State University, Malete, Kwara State, Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State, Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State and Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State.<\/p>\n<p>Others are Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State, Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo, Cross River State, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State and Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin said that the suspension of the Law programme at the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, would last for two academic sessions, specifically, the 2025\/2026 and 2026\/2027 sessions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result, JAMB will not approve any admissions for candidates seeking to enrol in the Law programme at the aforementioned universities for the 2025\/2026 academic session.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dFurthermore, the ban on registration for the Law programme at the Nigerian Police Academy will extend into the 2026\/2027 academic session,\u201d he said.
