A former prison officer at HMP Wandsworth is to spend the next 15 months in prison after being caught engaging in sexual activity with an inmate.<\/p>\n

The married prison officer, who was identified\u00a0 as Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, was filmed having sex with an inmate, which is in breach of\u00a0 the public trust.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The explicit footage of the sex act surfaced online and quickly went viral.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It showed the prison officer in uniform, having sex with inmate 36-year-old Linton Weirich, who is serving term after he was convicted and jailed for four-and-a-half years at Kingston Crown Court last June for burglary.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He had stolen \u00a365,000 worth of valuables from a safe in a flat in Kensington.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The x-rated video shows married De Sousa Abreu dressed in full uniform and performing a sex act on Weirich, who has a pregnant girlfriend, at the Category A jail.<\/div>\n

She was arrested at Heathrow Airport while attempting to board a flight to Madrid with her father though she denied trying to flee the country.<\/p>\n

Abreu, who had earlier pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office, also admitted to having sexual relations with the same inmate on a separate occasion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The court was told that another recording of her performing a sexual act with the prisoner was discovered on her body-worn camera.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Originally from Brazil, De Sousa Abreu, is a married swinger with whom she shares an eight-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Wearing a grey pin-striped blazer over a white shirt, De Sousa Abreu\u00a0was sentenced to 15 months in prison at Isleworth Crown Court, but will likely serve less than a third of the time behind bars.<\/p>\n

Judge Martin Edmunds, KC, the Recorder of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, said De Sousa Abreu compromised her role as a prison officer, undermined discipline and put officers at increased risk.<\/p>\n

De Sousa Abreu admitted to having\u00a0sex with the same prisoner on another occasion, while she was also caught on her own body camera giving oral sex to him on the same day the original sex tape was filmed.<\/p>\n
