Operatives of the Oyo State Command of Amotekun Corps, a local security outfit, have arrested five secondary school students for allegedly gang raping some female students inside the bush.<\/p>\n

The suspects, who were identified as Joshua, 16; Sunday, 16; Mayowa, 17; Seun, 17;\u00a0 and Basit, 17, reportedly raped four female students on a visit from another school to Ejioku Community Grammar School where the alleged rapists are students.<\/p>\n

Two of the suspects, Seun and Sunday, are siblings being children of the same mother but different fathers.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that the suspects ambushed their victims and dragged them into the bush where they gangraped them.Kazeem Babalola Akinro, the second in command of the corps, the incident was reported to the corps, leading to the arrest of the boys.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He added that cases of rape, involving male students of the school were rampant.<\/div>\n
It was learnt that the principal of the school had also repeatedly warned them against it and informed parents at the Parent-Teacher Association meetings about the unholy acts of their children.One of the suspects had chased the girls into the bush with his motorcycle\u00a0where\u00a0 four accomplices had laid ambush for the\u00a0 girls and raped them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A 14-year old virgin , who was among the victims was gangraped by three of the students, who also recorded the incident, as the girl was writhing in pain.<\/div>\n
While parents of the other three girls did not report the incident to the police, the mother of the deflowered virgin, an SSS 3 class student, brought drew the attention of a female lawyer, Barrister Modupe Aderemi, to the incident.<\/div>\n

It was the lawyer reported to the Amotekun Corps after interviewing the girl, leading the arrest of the victims.<\/div>\n
Confessing to the crime, Mayowa, one of the suspects, said: \u201cWhat happened was that we had finished our exams, and when that happens, students usually go to other schools around them to play with fellow students.”Some female students came to our school on Thursday, December 5. Four of the female students got near our school\u2019s field and we went to them. Our Principal and teachers were in their offices while we were on the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of us, Basit, knew one of the girls. We deceived them into believing that other students were playing on the school farm, volunteering to take them there. Usually, we used to play on the farm, with colleagues, tying ropes on two close trees and swinging on them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe girls followed us, but we had the motive of sleeping with them. On getting there, we told them that we wanted to have a sexual relationship with them. We picked them one by one and took them to different spots on the farm, laid them on their backs on the grass and raped them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know what others were doing at their own corners. When the girl with me didn\u2019t want to yield, I told her that another boy would pick her up if she tried to run away, asking her to do the \u2018normal\u2019 with me. I asked her to remove her underwear and mounted her. It was difficult penetrating her because of her virginity, so I just ejaculated at the entry and got up.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of us, Joshua, decided to go for her also but also didn\u2019t achieve penetration. Another boy wanted to do the same but I refused him. He was the one who started recording me and the girl during the sex session. Basit came and wanted to do his own thing but I told him the girl was a virgin. That was when he used his finger to break her hymen by poking her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is my second time. I did the first one with a girl in my neighbourhood. She was my girlfriend. I started dating her a year ago. I told her that I wanted to sleep with her and she gave me a date. We did it on the date she gave me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joshua, another suspect, claimed that he had heard some voices in the field beside the school where he had gone to ease himself beside the tree, adding that\u00a0on approaching the direction where the voices were coming from, he saw one of the girls, who later happened to be the 14-year old, pleading to be left and not to be ejaculated in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He also said he saw some of the boys around the girl, who asked him if he was interested in joining them to rape the girl.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to him, he initially refused but was encouraged by the boys to join in.<\/p>\n

The other two suspects, Seun and Basit, who were in SS1 and\u00a0SS3, respectively, also confessed to the crime.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The female lawyer that reported the incident to the Amotekun Corps, Modupe Owonikoko, her Foundation has taken up the matter and would ensure that the suspects would face the law to serve as a deterrent to others.Meanwhile, the matter has been transferred to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State Command, for further investigation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
