President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday nominated Ambassador Bianca Onoh, widow of the late Ezendigbo Gburugburu,\u00a0 Ikemba Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Odumegwu-Ojukwu was former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n
Also, Sunday Dare, former Minister of Sports, was appointed Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Public Communication and Orientation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The duo is among the new appointments the president made during his cabinet reshuffle.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, announced\u00a0the appointments in a statement shortly after the Federal Executive Council meeting.<\/p>\n

The president also reassigned portfolios to some ministers and to the newly appointed ones, pending when the Senate confirms their appointment.<\/p>\n

Other appointees are Dr Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment; Dr Nentawe Yilwatda,<\/p><\/div>\n

\u00a0Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction; Muhammadu Dingyadi,\u00a0Minister of Labour and Employment;\u00a0 Idi Maiha, Minister of Livestock Development Federal Ministry; Yusuf Ata; Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, and Dr Suwaiba, Ahmad\u00a0Minister of State for Education.<\/div>\n
\nSome ministers\u00a0 we’re reassigned to new portfolios. Dr\u00a0Yusuf Sununu, is now the Minister of State, Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Former Minister State for Health, Dr. Olatunji Alausa, becomes Minister of Education, while former Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, Bello Goronyo, is now the Minister of State for Works;<\/p>\n

Also, Senator Abubakar Momoh, the Minister of Niger Delta Development becomes the new Minister of Regional Development; while the Minister of State Steel Development, Uba \u00a0Ahmadu is now Minister of State Regional Development; and the former Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anitet, is now the Minister of State, Finance. The former Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, is the new Minister of State for Trade and Investment; while the former Minister of State, Police Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, is now the Minister of Women Affairs; the Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, becomes the substantive Minister for Youth Development; and the former Minister of State for Environment, Dr. Salako Adeboye, is now the Minister of State for Health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
