{"id":2922,"date":"2024-10-22T11:22:42","date_gmt":"2024-10-22T11:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=2922"},"modified":"2024-10-22T11:22:42","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T11:22:42","slug":"fuel-importation-dangote-denies-fresh-suit-in-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2024\/10\/22\/fuel-importation-dangote-denies-fresh-suit-in-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Fuel importation: Dangote denies fresh suit in court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2923\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/download-4-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"287\" height=\"175\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dangote Refinery<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">By Publisher<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Kindly share:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dangote Refinery has said there is no fresh suit in court, involving it and tbe Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, alongside other oil companies.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Reacting to recent reports report purporting that it went to court asking it to void fuel import licences to NNPCL and others, the company said it was an old issue was old that had since be resolved.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Anthony Chiejina,\u00a0\u00a0the Group and\u00a0 Chief Branding and Communication Officer, of Dangote, said in a statement:\u00a0 &#8220;The report, is an old issue that started in June and culminated in a matter being filed in September 6, 2024.\u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It added that the matter was overtaken by\u00a0President Tinubu\u2019s directive on crude oil for Naira sales initiative.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cCurrently, the parties are in discussion since the President Bola Tinubu\u2019s directive on Crude Oil and Refined products sales in Naira Initiative, which was approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), the statement also said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cWe have made tremendous progress in that regard and events have overtaken this development.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Chiejina said the Dangote Refinery neither served any party with the court process nor intended to do so, expressing the company&#8217;s readiness to withdraw the case when it comes up in January, 2025.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cWe have agreed to put a halt to the proceedings.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cIt is important to stress that no orders have been made and there are no adverse effects on any party.
