Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have successfully foiled three separate kidnapping attempts in Danmusa and Faskari Local Government Areas.<\/p>\n
The successful busting of the attempts by suspected armed bandits led to the safe rescue of eight victims.<\/p>\n
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, in a statement, the incidents occurred on October 7, 2024.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cAt about 11 am, armed bandits intercepted two women on the outskirts of Matarau village in Danmusa LGA, attempting to abduct them,\u2019 the statement read.<\/p>\n
\u201cSimilarly, on the same day, distress calls were received at Faskari Divisional Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt about 10:30 am, armed bandits blocked Marabar Bangori-Unguwar Boka along the Funtua-Gusau road and kidnapped four persons,\u201d<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Sadiq disclosed that: \u201cAt about 2:30 pm, another group of bandits blocked the Unguwar Kafa junction along the Yankara-Faskari road, abducting two women and their children.<\/p>\n
\u201cUpon receiving the reports, police operatives swiftly mobilised to the scenes, engaging the assailants in gunfire. The bandits were forced to flee, leaving behind the kidnapped victims, who were all rescued unhurt.\u201d<\/p>\n
