By Amah<\/span><\/p>\n Kindly share:<\/span><\/p>\n A former Miss Switzerland finalist, Kristina Joksimovic, has been allegedly dismembered by her 41-year-old husband.<\/span><\/p>\n The 38-year-old model was said to have been strangled and dismembered by her husband using a jigsaw and garden shears.<\/span><\/p>\n After she was dismembered, her remains were allegedly pureed in a blender by her husband, according to the Daily Mail.<\/span><\/p>\n The couple married in 2017 and lived in a \u2018spacious semi-detached house\u2019 in an affluent area of Basel. They had two children.<\/span><\/p>\n Kristina\u2019s body was found in February in Binningen, near Basel, Switzerland.<\/span><\/p>\n Kristina had posted pictures of a \u2018couple\u2019s getaway\u2019 on her Instagram account four weeks before her death.<\/span><\/p>\n Her husband, identified only by the pseudonym Thomas in local media, had his appeal for release from custody rejected on Thursday by the Federal Court in Lausanne after admitting to killing his wife.<\/span><\/p>\n An ongoing investigation has revealed \u2018concrete indications of mental illness\u2019 underlying the case.<\/span><\/p>\n Kristina\u2019s husband is reported to have claimed he killed her in self-defence after she allegedly came at him with a knife, before later admitting he dismembered the former model.<\/span><\/p>\n Kristina\u2019s body was found on the evening of February 13.<\/span><\/p>\n Investigators determined she had been strangled before dying.<\/span><\/p>\n The verdict states the suspect confessed to strangling his wife.<\/span><\/p>\n An autopsy concluded that the body was then dismembered in the laundry room with a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears.<\/span><\/p>\n Body parts were then chopped up with a hand blender, \u2018pureed\u2019, and dissolved in a chemical solution, local outlet Blick reported.<\/span><\/p>\n A medical-forensic report also \u2018contradicts his description of self-defence\u2019, according to Swiss outlet FM1 Today.<\/span><\/p>\n Thomas, a Swiss national, was reportedly arrested a day after her remains were found.<\/span><\/p>\n Investigators have said Thomas, a businessman, displayed a \u2018conspicuously high level of criminal energy\u2019 in their assessment.<\/span><\/p>\n They cited a \u2018lack of empathy and cold-bloodedness after killing his wife\u2019, and his efforts to cover up her death, adding that the defendant exhibited \u2018sadistic-sociopathic traits\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n The deceased won the Miss Northwest Switzerland pageant in 2003 and was a finalist in the 2008 Miss Switzerland competition.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Kristina and her husband By Amah Kindly share: A former Miss Switzerland finalist, Kristina Joksimovic, has been allegedly dismembered by…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":2359,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,2],"tags":[695,696],"class_list":["post-2358","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-crime","category-news","tag-murder","tag-uxoricide"],"yoast_head":"\n
