\u00a0<\/span>By Publisher<\/p>\n Kindly share:<\/span><\/p>\n Dangote Refinery has made history today in Lagos as its 650, 000-barrel per day capacity refinery\u00a0 rolled out premium motor spirit (pms), otherwise known as petrol, from its factory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The feat was witnessed by many who thronged the facility in the Lekki area of Lagos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Nigerians have eagerly awaited this day, hoping that the refinery would see some improvements in the fuel supply efforts of the Federal Government.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Alhaji Aliko Dangote, owner of the 20 billion dollars facility, told newsmen that Nigerians will now have engine friendly fuel and thanked his team for working very hard to make the project a reality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He also thanked all those who contributed to the success of the project, especially President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor of Lagos State, Babjide Sanwo-Olu for their immense support in seeing the refinery come through.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Dangote told the world\u00a0 that with petroleum products from the\u00a0 refinery, the company is now ready for the market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He said the commencement of sale of the product would save Nigeria over 40 per cent of the current foreign exchange being spent at present.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n According to him, the company will start the sales of polymer products next month.<\/span><\/p>\n It is gathered that the NNPC Limited (NNPCL) will be the exclusive buyer of Dangote\u2019s products due to its current challenges in meeting international debt obligations to global oil traders.<\/span><\/p>\n Its officials are already stationed at the Lagos petrochemical plant to take delivery.<\/span><\/p>\n The rollout of petrol by Dangote Refinery marks a historic milestone in Nigeria\u2019s oil and gas sector, as the country, which has long relied on petrol imports, takes a significant step towards self-sufficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n Before the production of pms today, the refinery had earlier produced diesel and other fuels.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Publisher Kindly share: \u00a0By Publisher Kindly share: Dangote Refinery has made history today in Lagos as its 650, 000-barrel…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":2096,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4,2],"tags":[128,590],"class_list":["post-2093","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business-economy","category-news","tag-dangote-refinery","tag-nigerian-national-petroleum-company-nnpc-limited-warri-refining-and-petrochemical-company"],"yoast_head":"\n
