The bandits who kidnapped and killed Alhaji Isa Muhammad Bawa\u00a0 late District Head of Gobir of Gatawa, Sabon Birni local Government Area\u00a0 of Sokoto State, have released his son, Kabiru Isa, after collecting 60 million ransom and five motorcycles.<\/span><\/p>\n Kabiru had been abducted alongside his brother and father but while the bandits killed his father, they spared his son so as to collect ransom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He was released on Wednesday night after the monarch was killed on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThey came back from the bandits\u2019 den around 8:30 pm,\u201d\u00a0 the deceased monarch’s brother said. He confirmed the bandits collected N60 million and five motorcycles before they were released.<\/span><\/p>\n A\u00a0 member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Aminu Boza, who confirmed the incident said Isa is currently receiving treatment at Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately, they have buried the remains of the late emir in the bush. We learnt that the Emir was buried in the morning. The late Emir\u2019s son, Alhaji Kabir Isa, is currently receiving treatment at Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) Sokoto.
