D. Jonathan, the Secretary of the panel, announced its inauguration in a circular, which, however, did not disclose the identity of the lecturer involved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0It solicited relevant information from the members of staff and students or anybody that might have fallen victim to the lecturer\u2019s escapades.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The circular said such information would assist the committee in the discharge of a thorough and fair investigation, adding: \u201cBe assured that your identity will be protected and all information will be treated with utmost confidentiality.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The investigative panel became inevitable, following a post on social media by a graduate of the university, who called out the lecturer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She had recounted how she allegedly suffered untold sexual harassment from the said professor during her undergraduate days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cases of sexual harassment have become rampant in Nigerian universities.
