{"id":1475,"date":"2024-08-05T05:17:51","date_gmt":"2024-08-05T05:17:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/?p=1475"},"modified":"2024-08-05T05:17:51","modified_gmt":"2024-08-05T05:17:51","slug":"n200bn-consumer-credit-will-make-life-easier-for-nigerians-tinubu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/index.php\/2024\/08\/05\/n200bn-consumer-credit-will-make-life-easier-for-nigerians-tinubu\/","title":{"rendered":"N200bn consumer credit will make life easier for Nigerians \u2014Tinubu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1451\" src=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/OIP-1-1-300x168.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/OIP-1-1-300x168.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/panoramanews.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/OIP-1-1.jpeg 474w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>President Tinubu<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By Amah<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kindly share:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">President Bola Tinubu said the N200 billion Consumer Credit Corporation established by his administration would make life easier for millions of households.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the President said this in a national broadcast on Sunday on the ongoing nationwide protest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said the aim of the scheme was to help Nigerians acquire essential products without immediate cash payments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This, he said, would consequently reduce corruption and eliminate cash and opaque transactions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis week, I ordered the release of an additional N50 billion each for NELFUND \u2013 the student loan, and Credit Corporation from the proceeds of crime recovered by the EFCC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAdditionally, we have secured 620 million dollars under the Digital and Creative Enterprises (IDiCE) a programme to empower our young people, creating millions of IT and technical jobs that will make them globally competitive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThese programmes include the 3 million Technical Talents scheme. Unfortunately, one of the digital centres was vandalised during the protests in Kano. What a shame!\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, he said the government had introduced the Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA); the Nigerian Youth Academy (NIYA); and the National Youth Talent Export Programme (NATEP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He also said more than N570 billion had been released to the 36 states to expand livelihood support to their citizens, while 600,000 nano-businesses had benefitted from nano-grants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He stated that an additional 400,000 nano-businesses were expected to benefit from the programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFurthermore, 75,000 beneficiaries have been processed to receive our N1 million Micro and Small Business single-digit interest loans, starting this month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe have also built 10 MSME hubs within the past year, created 240,000 jobs through them and five more hubs are in progress, which will be ready by October this year,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Tinubu By Amah Kindly share: President Bola Tinubu said the N200 billion Consumer Credit Corporation established by his administration&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":1451,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[432],"class_list":["post-1475","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-consumer-credit-corporation"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.8 -
