\u00a0<\/span>By Amah<\/p>\n Kindly share<\/span><\/p>\n Igbo residents in Lagos have washed their hands off the proposed #Endbadgovernmence protest slated for August 1 -10.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking under the aegis of the Coalition of Igbo Political and Social-Cultural Groups, Lagos State, the ethnic group has distanced itself from the proposed protest and advised Igbo traders to stay home and not open their businesses on the days of the protest to avoid being attacked.<\/span><\/p>\n The group,which comprises 16 different Igbo groups in Lagos, addressed a press conference at Airport Hotel, Ikeja, on Tuesday, noting that the current economic downturn is not limited to Nigeria, adding it was not caused by President Bola Tinubu\u2019s administration.<\/span><\/p>\n Sunday Ossai, the President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State, said the Igbo in Lagos have always been wrongly accused of organising protests in the state which has always put their lives in danger.<\/span><\/p>\n He said: \u201cNdigbo have always been wrongly accused so we have come out to deny accusations against us. We don\u2019t know anything about organising the protest, Ndigbo are not part of it. We are innocent.
