The Acts of Restoration and Compassion (ARC) Church came alive in a powerful Resurrection Sunday encounter under the spiritual leadership of Rev. Paul Chikwem. The atmosphere was charged from the very beginning, as Minister NK Godson led an electrifying praise session that ignited the congregation into fervent worship. This was in addition to a soul-stirring hymnal ministration by the choir, ushering worshippers into deep reverence and spiritual reflection.
A special highlight of the service was the Anointing Service, where lives were touched and burdens lifted, as well as a love feast, where members and guests shared meals in unity and joy, celebrating not just the risen Christ, but the fellowship of believers.
A major highlight was the testimony of a brother who was delivered from a ghastly motor accident. The previous week, Rev. Chikwem had prophesied and decreed that the the Federal Road Safety Corps would not call him to come and identify the corpse of any member of the church. Incidentally, it was operatives of the FRSC that came to the brother’s rescue and rushed him to the hospital. However, despite a broken head, he was discharged from the hospital the same day.
The Word came with power and clarity: the Word of God is the Bread of Life. Whoever feeds only on earthly bread will hunger again, but the Word satisfies eternally, Chikwem observed.
Focusing on Luke 24:1–6, the servant of God emphasised that while one may imitate style or form, grace and anointing remain inimitable; nothing compares to the original.
The scripture reminds us that the women rose early in the morning. Early risers take charge of their day. When you begin with prayer and the Word, you gain spiritual control before the world awakens.
The women at the tomb were worried: “Who will roll away the stone?” Yet, unknown to them, God had already gone ahead. The stone had been rolled away. This speaks to divine provision: before your need arises, God has already made a way. Therefore, be assured, that the matter is already settled.
They came, they saw, and they entered. It is one thing to get close, another to step in. Without entering, there is no fulfillment. Nothing manifests without expectation.
A profound truth echoed: you can have eyes but lack insight. The man at the Beautiful Gate could see, yet lacked vision. Beauty without character can destroy a home. A grand church without the Holy Spirit is only a gathering. Show me a man who not only speaks well but carries oil, and I will show you a life beyond the reach of darkness.
When grace begins to work in a man, attention follows, both good and bad. Yet, never forget those who stood by you at the foundation. Do not forget your Mordecai when you become Queen Esther.
While many followed Jesus in life, they deserted Him in death. But the women remained faithful, yet they went to the tomb, a wrong address. They were sincere, but mistaken. You can be sincerely wrong.
The angel declared: “He is not here; He has risen.” In essence: “You have come to the wrong address.” If your understanding is not upgraded, you may arrive at the right place and still miss the right person.
Grace changes status in a moment. Those who knew you in the house of lack will return and not find you there. In a twinkling of an eye, your story can change.
God is not only interested in what He will do for you, but what He will do in you. The image of God you perceive determines the life you produce. Be careful, assumption is not revelation. Verify before you judge. Guard your words.
Stop seeking a living God with dead ideas. Upgrade your mind; you cannot rise above your thoughts. Let the resurrection power reset and reposition you.
The same Spirit that raised Christ is at work, relocating destinies. Those who return to where they left you will be shocked; you are no longer there.
Men may carry you according to their strength, but grace lifts beyond human capacity. The lame man at the Beautiful Gate had prophecy, but it took a hand, Peter’s hand, to rise. Prophecy needs partnership.
You need more than a crowd; you need a man who understands your pain and is willing to lift you. Not all hands are equal, but the right hand changes everything.
When Peter stretched forth his hand, strength entered the crippled man. He stood, walked, and followed. Those who expected to find him at the gate could no longer see him, grace had relocated him.
Like blind Bartimaeus, refuse to be silenced until grace locates you. For everyone who refused to help you, God will send help from another direction.
This Resurrection Sunday at ARC was not just a service. It was a shift; a divine relocation and a declaration that you are no longer at the old address.
